Size «5» nylon cord has a tensile strength of 40 lbs. (19kg) and is used as the primary thread for sewing harnesses, and heavy tacking.

Note 1: Nylon thread conforming to the commercial equivalent of VT-295E is used in the manufacture and repair of all types of parachutes.

Note 2: All thread is left twist.

Note 3: All nylon thread is bonded.
