The instrument is firmly held in place, and can be removed if necessary (to replace batteries, for example, or to connect the instrument to a computer) without using any tool.

The ear covers allow to install an audible without interference with the ears. The chinstrap splits in a Y over the ears attaching to the shell in a position giving a quite firm fit. Closing the chinstrap, using the unique lightweight ratchet clip, will bend the ear covers, making the shell fit closer, comfortably adapting it to the shape of the head.
