Features include: the introduction of a 90 degree bend at the wire to switch junction, a wider switch for more comfortable and reliable operation, thicker/more durable/more resilient metal contacts, a clearly marked “Bite Zone” to demarcate the proper area to bite, and high temperature thermoplastic and epoxy for better heat resistance.

This switch fits comfortably in your mouth, is extremely easy to use, and will take one or multiple exposures. They’re perfect for freeflyers and anyone wanting hands-free photography without jumpsuit circuitry. The Bite Switch works best with open-faced headgear.

Individually tested and guaranteed to function for thousands of shots. The design has been tested up to 3000 bites without a malfunction, and none have failed in the field when used properly.

The Conceptus Bite Switch is ready-to-use with most Canon cameras and can be adapted to almost any camera with a remote shutter release jack. It’s easy to connect and disconnect from your camera, and can be easily spit out at the end of the dive or if you need to cut away your headgear.

It measures 23″ long, switch body is 1/4″ diameter.

The Conceptus Bite switch with Canon digital plug is compatible with many of the Canon series of digital cameras, such as the EOS 1D, 5D, 10D, 20D, 30D and 40D.

This is a mouth-operated, totally electronic shutter releases for use with any still camera with a remote shutter release jack. The switch plugs directly into the camera without need for a separate switch module. The design is securely sealed and waterproof. Since the switch is mouth-operated, it does not interfere with grips on exits or in freefall, or with canopy deployment, control and emergency procedures.
