Together with various well known international proflyers we did not spare any effort to design the FUJIN helmet according to customers’ needs and the needs of our sport.

Here are just some of the many proflyer requirements we implemented:

The outer shell has a multi-layer construction. On its outside you can find layers of carbon fibre that make the helmet extremely stiff. This reduces vibrations and helps to reduce the noise inside the helmet. Together with an aramid fiber layer (the stuff most bulletproof vests are made of) on the inside the penetration risk for pin-like objects is minimized.
The visor is designed with the same mindset but has to ensure a maximum of clearness at the same time. Therefore thermally molded thick polycarbonate is used. This high tech material is one of the most transparent glass alternatives on the market combining very high impact resistance with a maximum durability. To ensure scratch and fogging resistance it is specially coated both from the inside and from the outside.
As not in all situations a firmly closed visor is desirable it features special arresting joints that may be opened in different steps. This allows the user to control the ventilation airflow along the visor depending on the current flight conditions. Even in most high humidity conditions with low airspeeds fogging of the visor can be avoided this way while the visor remains in front of the user’s face giving him a maximum of protection against the elements.
The special joints hold the visor in place using several high-powered neodymium magnets. Normally these special material is used in high-end speakers but was chosen for the FUJIN helmet due to its highly preferable strength-to-weight ratio. The joints were thoroughly tested by SKYHELMETS’ proflyer network in airspeeds significantly exceeding 350 km/h.
Using a specially design chin strap also based on magnetic forces the risk of the helmet being pulled off the user’s head could be minimized. This chin strap is part of an overall closing system that gives the user the maximum width possible when putting on or getting off the helmet thereby reducing skin irritation in hot and humid environments. At the same time the whole system gives ease of use simply by being fastened with one single pull on the chin strap.

We have been active in indoor and outdoor skydiving for two decades now. We went a long way in making the FUJIN helmet by over and over (re)designing and test-flying it. Both from our own experience and from the proflyer feedback we received we believe to have created a product that our beloved sport can benefit the most from.

The FUJIN helmet comes in four sizes ranging from small to extra large. Please find our sizing recommendations depending on your head’s circumference below:

XXSmall from 50 cm up to 51.4 cm circumference
XSmall from 51.5 cm up to 53.4 cm circumference
Small from 53.5 cm up to 55.4 cm circumference
Medium from 55.5 cm up to 57.4 cm circumference
Large from 57.5 cm up to 59.2 cm circumference
eXtra Large from 59.3 cm up to 60.4 cm circumference
eXtra eXtra Large from 60,5 cm up to 61.4 cm circumference

Because of its advanced design the FUJIN helmet feels totally different when compared to any other helmet on the market. We use a sophisticated memory foam for the cushions that adapts itself precisely to your head. This process takes a few hours of wearing (=flight) time. Afterwards it’s like a good pair of bespoke shoes, it almost fits forever.

Full payment for the order (including the price of the product and applicable shipping charges) must be paid prior to completing the order. Additional fees may apply for payments by credit card and PayPal. The item will be delivered after confirmation of the payment. Large transactions may require additional inspection, and we will require confirmation of the requested details before proceeding with the order. In that case, we will contact you. In some cases, this may delay the order.

Shipments should not be denied or carriers’ requests for customs duties and/or tax obligations should not be ignored. Please remember that most carriers will keep the shipment up to 7 days after delivery to your country before returning it to the sender.
The recipient of an international shipment outside the EU may be subject to customs brokerage fees, duties, and taxes after the shipment reaches the destination country. Payment of additional charges is the recipient’s responsibility as we have no control over the government-imposed charges and cannot determine what they may be.
